Dr. Steven Pribanich, M.D., F.A.A.F.P.

"Dr. Pribanich has a true enthusiasm for helping train and educate the LMU-DCOM students."
-CMC Chief Administrative Officer David Bunch

Dr. Steven Pribanich is a family medical doctor in Lenoir City, Tennessee. He received his medical degree from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Pribanich completed his residencies in Family Practice and Sports Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He has been in practice for over three decades. Now semi-retired, Dr. Pribanich still takes satisfaction in seeing a select group of concierge patients and overseeing staff at walk-in clinics, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Named Preceptor of the Year in 2018, Dr. Steven Pribanich, MD, worked with medical students for several decades. Pribanich strived to give students at Wake Forest and LMU-DCOM a solid, well-rounded experience of family medicine rotations by exposing them to four pillars of additional learning beyond the necessary clinical skills, including: hands-on electronic medical records exposure, billing with ICD-10 and E & M, e-scribing prescriptions and the medical-legal aspects of a solo medical practice.

In addition to being a superlative physician, Dr. Pribanich is an energetic, fun-loving guy who enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, surfing, SCUBA diving and swimming. He was a competitive swimmer in college. Dr. Pribanich and his children hold Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts. Some of his other hobbies include old car restoration, car shows and car clubs, along with riding motorcycles and boating. The many photos and articles on the walls of his office show Dr. Pribanich is extremely proud of his family, with good reason. His son and daughter-in-law are both currently attending medical school. His daughter holds a Masters Degree in Business Finance and works for a private company.
